Gemstone Appraisal Service
Of all the different types of jewelry appraisals we perform, gemstones are among the most popular. A gemstone or gem is a precious or semi-precious stone. Because of their brilliant color, the stones are cut and polished and displayed in jewelry settings. Our independent appraising service identifies and certifies the value of gems and gemstone jewelry.Appraising Gems Onsite
Our independent jewelry appraisal professionals perform an onsite examination. The accredited Gemologist will visit your residence, office, or safe deposit box location with mobile gemological equipment. There is no need to travel with and leave your jewelry out of your sight. Schedule a gemstone appraisal in the privacy and security of your chosen location today.
We identify and certify the value of all gemstones – both precious and semi-precious. The precious gems are widely identified as the diamond, ruby, sapphire, and emerald, with all other gemstones being semi-precious. The term “precious” implies more valuable than semi-precious, though this is not always the case. Our independent appraisers have the knowledge and market resources to determine the accurate value of your gem, whether loose or in a setting. In gemstones, with the exception of diamond, color is the basis for the determination of value. Also considered is the relative freedom from internal characteristics (clarity), and to a lesser extent, the shape and cut of the gemstone. The jewelry appraisal report will describe the gemstone or jewelry item in detail, present images, and certified value. Our Gemologists serve as Expert Witnesses in defense of their certified, independent reports.
